Of course, it is very functional as a fan and moves the air quietly and efficiently. This high quality 52 inch ceiling fan comes in four finishes: brushed nickel with silver blades, flat white with white blades, polished nickel with silver blades, or oil rubbed bronze with oil rubbed bronze blades [Update – it now also comes in a beautiful warm distressed Koa wood finish]. It is solid and reliable, rated by UL for indoor use, and the motor has a lifetime warranty.

With its very thin body, it fits perfectly in a room with an eight foot ceiling or even slightly under eight feet. No need to buy a ceiling hugger in a room with a standard ceiling when you can get this beautiful, slim fan instead. The body itself is only 3 ¾ inches deep so with the included 6 inch downrod, the distance to the bottom of the fan is only 9 ¾ inches. This is shorter than most ceiling hugger fans!

The Pancake ceiling fan comes with a hand held remote that controls the three speeds in forward and reverse and provides an on/off switch for the fan. A wall switch is available as an accessory that works along with the remote to control the fan.

As of now, the Pancake ceiling fan will not read and transmit your heart rate nor display your texts and messages but you never can tell what may be developed in the future!
