The birth of the Cirque ceiling fan, F596

My designs start out as napkin sketches. Those that survive my critical reflections and have seasoned in the drawer for a while are selected to be reworked. They must be adapted to the dimensions and proportions necessary for proper assembly, functioning and shipping and in order to fit the mechanical and electrical components. This is done both in 2 and 3D eventually ending up as a 3D model which I can then render in various finishes and perhaps variations. One of the designs that has been translated from my concept to a 3D model and then to a manufactured fan closely following the original concept is the Cirque fan. Please take a look at my concept renderings below and compare them with the finished product at http://www.g2art.com/prod/F596
