The Artemis ceiling fan is a winner of the GOOD DESIGN award of the Chicago Athenaeum. The organic shape of the blades creates no noise – they slice through the air in nearly total silence. CONTROLS:

Both wall mount and hand held controls work by sending radio frequency signals to receiver in ceiling fan – no need for third wire when wiring for fan
DOWNRODS:
Fan comes standard with 3 1/2″ and 6″ downrods—length to bottom of fan is 12″ with 3 1/2″ downrod and 14 1/2″ with 6″ downrod.
Accessory downrods are available at additional cost in 12″, 18″, 24″, 36″, 48″, 60″, and 72″ lengths.

This fan comes with 3 1/2 inch and 6 inch downrods included in the box. These downrods are suitable for 8 foot ceilings.
For safety reasons please be sure that the distance from the floor to the blades is at least 7 feet.
The hand held remote will operate the fan independently of the wall switch: if you choose it the wall switch will not have to be installed.
If your ceiling slope is greater than 30 degrees but less than 45 degrees you will need the slope adapter to install the fan.
